Called to do a difficult thing: Through Joseph's Eyes

I believe the difficult thing God is calling you to do is your refiner’s fire. It is his way of purifying you, removing your weaknesses and making you twice as strong on the other side.

In the refiner’s fire, the things that don’t really matter fade away and what is truly important remains. You are never the same once you’ve gone through the refiner’s fire--your priorities are different, your attitude is different, and your love is different.

Your love is different because it’s not just your love anymore; it’s your love which has been refined and purified and strengthened by God. And by the power of the Holy Spirit, you ARE capable of loving like Joseph loved; like him, you are transformed into a vessel of God’s love--a vessel of strong, enduring, resilient Godly love.
